I destigmatise grief — so working together gets lighter.
- Handle grief at work with clarity
- Stay capable of acting through loss
- What leaders can concretely do
If grief were private
By that logic, we couldn’t celebrate a birthday at work either.
My name is Christina Gippert.
My mission is to destigmatise grief and make it speakable in society — and to enable people to truly support each other. For years I’ve accompanied people through pivotal life phases — and increasingly their employers too.
What you gain
A workplace where people feel comfortable produces four tangible effects:
Reduced absenteeism
A lived grief culture supports leaders in handling themselves, grieving colleagues and the rest of the team well — which reduces absenteeism.
Stronger commitment
A grief culture strengthens team cohesion and individual wellbeing — and through that, employee motivation.
Higher performance
Employees who sense they are valued „in good times and in hard ones“ are more satisfied, more engaged and work more efficiently.
Lower turnover
Destigmatising grief at work and a lighter way of being together has a positive effect on employee retention.
Training & qualifications
Training and qualifications that shape my work. Plus years of hands-on experience with grieving people — privately and in professional settings.
Business Administration degree, MBA in the US, 19 years at the European Parliament. Co-founder of the grief support association „Stein und Feder“ e.V. in Brussels.
Holistic approach: Psychological Counsellor, Hypnosis, Breathwork Facilitator, Neuroathletics, SeelenSport® Trainer, Mental Health First Aid, Fitness Trainer A-License.

Talks & keynotes
Keynotes for conferences, trade fairs, and events — 20 to 60 minutes. Clear, inspiring, and empowering. Topics include: workplace health management (BGM), New Work, emotions at work, destigmatizing grief, stress resilience, biohacking & longevity, and neurodiversity.
Clarity in 30 minutes
30 minutes, no obligation. Write me a short note about what’s on your mind — I’ll get back to you within one business day.
Society has changed
Many people spend more time with their team than with their family.
Three phases to a grief culture
Clearly structured, humanly guided — whether it’s a talk, a workshop or a long-term partnership.
1. Getting to know each other
Free initial conversation, no obligation. You describe your situation, I listen and help frame it.
2. Concept
Together we develop the right format — from a single keynote to a multi-year programme.
3. Implementation
In person, online, short-term or long-term. With reflection and integration afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't grief a private matter?
Wouldn’t joy then also be private? Birthdays, weddings, the birth of a child — we happily share them at work. Can you really leave your emotions at the door like a suitcase when you switch on your computer? Many people spend more time with colleagues than with family. Grief belongs where people are.
What's in it for my company?
Three things: employee retention and loyalty, a distinctive edge in a market where almost no one has clear protocols for these situations, and lower costs through fewer sick days and less turnover.
Aren't our workplace health measures enough?
In conversations I keep hearing the same thing: burnout prevention is on the agenda, but how to handle loss and grief is not — and everyone tiptoes around it. That’s exactly where I come in: with knowledge of the nervous system and concrete tools, so fear and uncertainty are taken out of the way.
